  3. From Yi Wen's mum: I would say that we have been one lucky family to have both kids selected for this school exchange program. It was an educational and eye-opening experience for my older girl in the pioneering group two years ago . I am certain it would be likewise for Yi Wen this time round. To this I would sincerely thank the school for providing the opportunity.

A reminder for the packing : dont forget the moisturising lotion and lip balm. These are must-have's for winter trips - if you dont want itchy skin and cracked lips...

Enjoy the trip & the learning experience !

So glad that Karina is given this opportunity to join her teachers and friends for this trip. We are confident that other parents will think likewise that the children will greatly benefit from this experience to be:

    Efficient in their

Dear Mrs Han, Mr Ang, Mrs Ng, Mdm Rashidah, Mdm Xi and all my dear Eliasians,

By the time you read this, you would have already arrived safely in Xi'an. I am sure the long, tiring journey went smoothly and everyone managed to clear immigration without a hitch. Otherwise, I would have heard about it by now!

I hope you all had a good rest last night, otherwise you would not be able to participate and benefit fully from the precious experiences and opportunities only you, the selected few, get to experience in Xi'an.

Remember to keep yourselves warmly clad by layering because the temperatures might change suddenly, you need to be able to peel off layers when it gets warm and pile them on when it gets cold.

Unlike Singapore which has high humidity, Xi'an is quite the opposite. To avoid your skin from getting extremely dry and itchy, you need to constantly moisturise your skin, especially those areas exposed to the elements. To prevent your lips from cracking painfully and bleeding, make it a point to apply lip balm throughout the day.

Most importantly, keep yourselves well hydrated, eat well (but don't overeat!) and sleep well. If you do all the above, you will come back as healthy as when you left. I am sure you do not want to know how the clinics or hospitals in Xi'an look like through your own personal experience!

I better sign off now before you all fall asleep reading such a long blog posting!

Wishing everyone an interesting and enriching day ahead! I can't wait to read about your experiences on the blog =)
